Houston International Ballet Academy is dedicated to the developmental training of classical ballet to students of all levels. Our syllabus classes in Vaganova technique are designed to teach young dancers the discipline, strengh, and precision necessary for attaining advanced levels of training.

Our programs offer technique classes in Pre-Ballet, Ballet Levels I through VI, Pointe, Pas de Deux and Beginnning Adult Ballet. Students in Ballet levels II through VI must audition for placement. Class sizes are limited.

Houston International Ballet Academy also hosts various Master Classes and Ballet Workshops throughout the year. Past Guest Instructors have included: John Magnus, director of the Joffrey Ballet Chicago, Prima Ballerinas Soili Arvola, Irina Vakhromeeva, Milena Leben and Lauren Anderson, Principal dancer and Master Instructor Leo Ahonen, and John Andrew Ruth and Kirov Principle Dancer Val Salnikov, as well as other known instuctors from the Bolshoi Ballet.

Founded in 2004 by director Kathleen Waltz, Houston International Ballet Academy is one of the finest training faciities in the Clear Lake Area. Our students have been accepted in programs such as Joffrey Chicago, Joffrey New York, Joffrey San Antonio and Austin Ballet, Boston Ballet, Washington Ballet, and the Bossov Academy. The facilities include large ballet studios, ample lounge areas, changing rooms, and administrative offices.
