Academy Divisions
The Children's Division is hosted by the Academy and offered through The City of League City's Parks and Recreation Programs. It is the ideal program for very young students, ages 3 to 7 years old, who are just beginning to dance. This is a preparatory program for further ballet training. There are 2 levels in this division. Classes are designed to teach young students the basic positions, steps, vocabulary, musicality, and classroom etiquette. Students will perform a class demonstration at the end of each semester.
The Youth Division includes the formative levels of Vaganova technique classes. This program is for students ages 7 to 12 years old and includes 3 levels of classes. Students will learn proper placement, terminology, musicality, with emphasis to articulation of positions and movement. Students must attend all classes and perform in a demonstration/exam class at the end of each semester in order to progress into higher levels.
The Pre-Professional Division is a year round program reserved for the serious and dedicated dancer. Students must attend all classes and perform in a demonstration/exam at the end of each semester. Cirriculum includes variations and pas de deux classes. Students must have a minimum of two years pointe work before entering this level.
