Academy Events

Houston International Ballet Academy was founded in 2004 by the Artistic director, Kathleen Waltz.

The Academy focuses solely training our students in the art of classical ballet training our students in the Vagonova technique and syllabus in our youth and pre-professional divisions.

Our children's division is part of League City's Park and Recreation program and is an ideal introduction into the beginning levels of the world of ballet.

The Academy also offers intensive ballet workshops and master classes throughout the year for our intermediate and advanced students. Past guest faculty include Leo Ahonen, Soili Arvola, Miroslav Bart, Milena Leben, John Magnus, Firat Ozsoy, John ruth, Val Salnikov and Irena Vakhromeeva.

Houston Internaltional Ballet Academy is located in League City. The facility has two large studios, student lounge areas, viewing areas, offices, dressing rooms, and costume and prop storage..
