The Vaganova syllabus program guides students through 6 levels of technical and classical ballet training. At each level, the student will achieve proper technique, terminology, and classical theory before advancing into the next level of class. Students are given ballet exams and evaluations bi-annually to ensure proper progression. Performance opportunities are available through the League City Ballet.
Students recommended to the pointe class should have two to three years minimum of technique training and be at least 11 years old. Students must audition and be accepted into this class. Classes are designed to strengthen the dancers feet, legs and body to properly execute the technique of dancing on "pointe".
Dancers must be in an advanced level and take a minimum of four hours of technical training per week to participate in this class. Students must be recommended into this class and may not make-up a missed class in a higher level. . Both basic technique and repertoire will be taught.
The adult ballet classes are designed for teens and adults to introduce the basic positions, steps, and terminology of russian ballet.
The Parks and Recreation program is designed to introduce young students to the beginning concepts of ballet terminology and technique of classical ballet. Students will be given performance opportunities through productions of the League City Ballet.. This program is an ideal introduction for students ages 3 through 7 years old.
